A delightfully cool morning was relatively slow bird-wise but I still found a few things. Best was two, possibly three, Canada warblers including a female. Also heard then saw a Kentucky perch up at eye level. I heard singing today, not just chip notes.

Two Prairies still singing.

Wood Thrush singing was the only thrush besides robins, bluebirds.

Saw one Black Vulture glide over. I’ve seen mostly TVs lately.

The hen Wood Duck still has 4 ducklings which are growing quickly. Another hen flew in & landed near the family. It was interesting to watch the mother hen hiss at the other hen & keep herself between the intruder & the ducklings. After they spotted me, both hens decided I was the bigger threat & they all moved forthwith into cover.
