As Sandra commented, too nice a day to stay at home. Not a lot of birds but good to be out & about.

Denison is a muddy mess again. Was surprised to find my way blocked only once by a couple fallen trees. We had winds up to 55mph yesterday. Field sparrow seen & heard, more towhees incl two males chasing each other. Singing and calling. Only other sparrow was Song. Grackles & Red-wingeds.

No shorebirds except killdeer at the Hebron Fish Hatchery. some Buffleheads. Great Blue Heron & kingfisher. I checked some flooded fields & only one had something on it, some ducks, but too much traffic to stop.

Not much at Buckeye Lk except a large raft of Ruddy Ducks from the spillway. A Horned Grebe was with them. Some coots. V distant mergansers that looked like Red-breasted. Adult Bald Eagle.
