Karin Tanquist and I had a modest collection of waterfowl today 3/21/10 at Lakes Rockwell and Pippen. Highlights were the stunning male Bufflehead on Lake Pippen, below the road and up close to shore putting on a splendid show of mating behavior with the late afternoon sun behind us. 

There were 40 Bufflehead on the two lakes.
