I thought the feeders at the visitors center would get Siskins! No......
At least when I was there around mid day. I explored some other
feeders there and a field area. Loads of birds around! No Siskins....
I am taking a few days to hit Lake Erie. Leaving next Monday and
coming back Wed. Assuming the weather cooperates. Maybe a
Siskin up north!
Highlights at Rowe were the chipping sparrow flock, both Kinglets -
mainly Golden crowned, and a RH Woodpecker. I know common there,
but I always enjoy seeing! And 2 adult Red- shouldered hawks.
Again, always a treat. Took some pics of one, but that will be a week
or so before i download and edit.
Nature notes - only a few moths today. I probably flushed while walking.
It was one of those raw days.
good birding all.
