Oh my! What a start to my Lake Erie trip! It's posted in the Ohio chase birds
facebook group. I was on the road. The only reason I got the bird was because
Andrew was keeping an eye on the group! He called me. I detoured and made
it with say 30 minutes to spare! The flock of Redpolls - it was with Commons -
took off. This will be interesting to see if the flock returns Friday. In my experience
with NJ Redpolls - Yes they do move around a lot if not coming to a feeder, but
they do return to good feeding spots. Good luck everyone!

I will stick to my planned route for now. Until another rarity shows up!
Huntington Preserve first thing tomorrow.

Andrew will call again if something! I am so used to the text alerts - groupme and
whats app - that I don't do much else. Like facebook. I'll have to get into a routine
with that chase birds group.

I am after Grosbeak now! And maybe that Harlequin will show up again at
Huntington.

Good birding all.

Sandra Keller
