I went out for an evening walk to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the bike path near my house in Granville and was delighted to hear Peents in the field as well as flight calls. It didn’t take long before I actually saw three or four woodcocks against a still blue sky doing their aerial display before it got too dark. Very cool not to have to drive to the land lab but even better to have enough light to see them. About 8pm.
