I headed out before the snow started and it was already snowing when I got to Sharon Woods around 11am. The Orange-crowned Warbler showed up shortly afterwards feeding on the suet for several minutes before flying off. It Returned approximately 20 minutes later and was more than willing to share the suet with a chickadee.

It is a lovely bird, brightly colored as others have noted. There were 3-4 Tree Sparrows there today along with a couple White-throateds. Saw both nuthatches. Red-bellied WP. Several juncos.

I had thought about checking Hoover for ducks but with the road conditions deteriorating, I headed home to Granville. Over 20 cardinals are feasting on oil sunflower seeds at my feeders. I have yet to see any tree sparrows at my feeders, just white-throated and song along with hordes of house sparrows.

Small numbers of robins are eating the crabapples on my neighbor’s tree joined by cardinals & even the house sparrows. A larger group of starlings just joined them.
