Two one-hour program/interviews with Douglas Brinkley about his book The Wilderness Warrior: Theodore Roosevelt & the Crusade for America
Part one from last Sun is already online etc.
You can catch part 2 on Sunday or
watch online after, or read transcript (with keyword searching).
They are on location at Shepherdstown WV National Conservation Training Ctr. (as I watch right now on C-Span 3)
TR was a bird expert and created 51 bird reservations in addition to other conservation
activities.
It's going to eventually be a multi-vol. history of conservation in America, if I understand correctly. It's not a traditional biography.
Plz don't flame - and I won't either! - about the hunting until you read the book and know what all he did and what his positions were - in a very different time.
