Although I don’t recall any one on this list serve posting any owl roosts, I don’t actually know what the policy of this list serve is, much less that of ebird & FB. 

For the AZ list serve (and I believe NJ as well), it is strictly against list serve rules to post any owl day roost site. In my opinion, this policy should adopted by all bird sighting posting websites. 

Absolutely inexcusable what was done to the Saw-whet site. If it was done by a birder or photographer, and I emphasize, if, since no one seems to know at this point, then that’s about as despicable as it comes.
