Found a beautiful leucistic red tailed hawk on Rt 37 in Perry County this afternoon. It was between junction city and new Lexington on a transmission tower. Got great photos. Posted one to ohio chase birds. A really beautiful sight.
Also had a dark morph rough-legged hawk at the rehoboth reclamation area, several harriers, and a sharp shinned hawk on our lane near Somerset. Might have had a back lit Merlin near new reading, but even with photos, could not be sure. None the less, a darned good birding day, especially with the winter wren and six turkeys in our own 60 acre “yard”
