I actually have noticed a lack of sparrows around. So wanted to hit spots
That I knew should have sparrows. I was going to chase the Knox County
Pacific Loon, but that was not reported. I am shocked that the Cowan Lake
Long tailed Ducks are sticking. Hopefully they are not targets of hunting.
Anyway, the Armleder Canoe Launch - that parking area turnaround - is a
Good sparrow spot. And was so today. Fox, Song, White crowned and
White throated. Also there today from other birders - Tree and Swamp.

Next up - Clinton county. Sugar grove cemetery. I have been there before
And like it for passerines. The cemetery itself never seems to have much.
But the stream corridors are birdy. I had loads of White throated. No Fox….
Which was needed for the county. Figures….. I did however pick up on an
Adult male Purple Finch! That’s not an easy species for me. Even at feeders!
That was new for the county. No Mockingbird, GC Kinglet, Sapsucker,
Brown Creeper….. which are all well above 1 percent on my Clinton life
Needs. Ah - Birding….

That is probably it for me for birding outside Hamilton. For a week. Things
To do. Work. And CBC season starts.

Good birding all.
