Many more shorebirds today. Located mostly in the grassy mudflats in the
middle of the "lake". Best viewed from the last viewing area down the long
grassy hill--not the gravel path hill.

Greater yellowlegs - 5
Least sandpipers - 12
Semipalmated sandpipers - 7
Pectoral sandpipers - 18
Solitary sandpipers - 6
Killdeer - 100++
Great blue herons - 10
Wood ducks
Mallards
Canada geese

Saturday, Aug. 25 - 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Definitely need a scope.

Main Park:
    Spotted sandpiper - 3
    Lesser yellowlegs - 6
    Greater yellowlegs - 3
    Least sandpiper - 1
    Solitary sandpiper - 4
    Blue-winged teal - 8 (female only)
    Wood ducks
    Great blue herons
    Killdeers
    Barn swallows
    Eastern kingbird
    Turkey vultures

North Park--Red-tailed and Cooper's hawks, osprey, 20 turkey vultures,
red-winged blackbirds, willow flycatcher, 2 spotted sandpipers, and great blue
herons.
