Cloudy/dreary at first but then the sun broke thru and it was quite lovely this morning.
I saw my first junco of the season for Ohio (my FOS was in NJ atop Kittatinny Ridge)—only saw one.
4 kinglets, 2 of each variety hanging together was nice. Another Ruby-crowned earlier had flashed its ruby crown at me.
When the sun came out, there was more sparrow activity but they were a bit frenetic. Vast majority were White-throateds but I had a few Fields, Swamps and Song as well as E Towhees. One Am Goldfinch.
A Red-shouldered Hawk was calling and a perched Cooper’s took off and donated around.
Oddly, no yellow-rumpeds today.
Number of Blue Jays flying over.
Wednesday I was at Dutch Fork Dawes Arboretum but saw/heard v little. Had a bright E Phoebe, a pair of Wood Ducks flew over and a few Swamp and Song Sparrows.
