Saw one black and white warbler mingling with a bunch of Carolina chickadees at Hills and Dales Metropark - near the wetwood boardwalk. Don't know if this one is an early migrant or a resident one as they do nest in Ohio. Also saw a tailless house wren. almost mistook it for a
winter wren (a bit early I think) till I got a better look at it and
realized it had lost all of its tail in some encounter. Note - Hills and Dales MetroPark is nestled between Oakwood and Kettering in the Dayton
area - You go out West Dorothy Lane and turn north on Patterson. There
are a couple of entrances to the park off of Patterson.
