I had my first fall Fox Sparrow in Akron yesterday afternoon. There is a
tall glass building on the UA campus that I check daily for window strikes
as part of the Lights Out program. The Fox Sparrow appeared dead at first,
but came back to life as I picked it up. Hopefully it survived the night,
and if so it will head to the Stark Wildlife Center for rehab.
If any birders (or non-birders) would like to help with Lights Out
monitoring, you can find the nearest program here:
