No success again! A true jinx bird.... I wasn't going to hit Hamilton
today. I was planning on Butler. But after getting chilled to the bone
just loading my car - what happened! It's freezing out! - I decided to
stay close to my car, if not in my car birding. Brutal out there. And any
patch of snow is slick ice.
Armleder - 9 Tree Sparrows was nice. A good number! They must be
moving now? The road to the north pond is still closed. No idea why.
Lost Bridge - loaded with stuff. And more Shovelers than I have seen
in awhile - 26. 8 goldeneyes, 9 canvasback, 4 redheads. etc. But only
7 RB Gulls.
The Cin. Public boat landing. Very nice spot - sat in my car and kept watch.
35 RB Gulls. Sigh....
Botany notes - I am thinking about a Skunk Cabbage search, but it needs
to get warmer!
Good birding all.
