Virginia Rail! Not rare, but I always enjoy finding and hearing! I am sure of one.
Maybe a few more - I am not up on all the vocalizations they make. And lots of
Coot around with their sounds. Lots of waterfowl there. Tripped the Gadwall
filter! I hope that area has lower water levels come fall shorebird season - say
July. FOY Gnatcatcher. Brown Thrashers singing up a storm.

4 BW Teal at the first pond - near the parking lot. 2 Rusty Blackbirds were nice.
Etc. 1 WC Sparrow.

The one for sure Virginia was at the NE corner. Long walk to get there. I had
actually circled the place.

I had dressed properly this time. Long underwear, winter coat and hat.
Hopefully warm by Sat. afternoon!

Good birding all.
