Calliope present as of 8:10 am today. He has already come to the second
feeder that we have placed and is feasting.
Yesterday with the temp in the 40's and 50's most of the day he delighted
us with displays of courtship. These entailed him rising 80 or so feet high
above the Pin Oak then in a U shape pattern diving to the ground arising
again to repeat. If we are lucky enough today we may hear the sputtering
buzz of his tail feathers and a audible zinn call as he descends during his
display.
Overall who can complain!
The birding communities display of gratefulness and respect has been just
as spectacular to watch.
