I had a singing white-winged crossbill today at the Lake Metroparks Girdled
Road Reservation in Concord Township, Lake County.  The bird was singing in
an area with extensive hemlocks along Big Creek in the center of the park.
If anyone is interested in looking it is at least a two mile walk along the
Buckeye Trail section of the park.  It was specifically along the edge of
the creek where there is a picnic table.

The saw-whet was in an area where they have bred in the past.  From the lack
of pellets it ;looked like it had only been there a day or so.  Sorry,
because they have bred in the past the area cannot be disclosed.
