The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) provides the most up-to-date IPEDS training available, thanks to funding by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). These online courses are available at no cost* to participants: 1) IPEDS Keyholder Essentials: A Beginner’s Guide - This course is created for data providers with less than 9 months of experience. It covers basic concepts and definitions, including: what IPEDS is, specific components that make up an IPEDS submission, IPEDS requirements, keyholder responsibilities, and pointers on how to complete timely and accurate IPEDS submissions. 2) IPEDS Keyholder Efficiencies: Reducing the Reporting Burden - This course is created for data providers with 10-24 months of experience who have been through all or most of a complete IPEDS cycle. It introduces and expands on concepts for IPEDS Keyholders, including cleaning data files, leveraging IPEDS data at your institution, reducing the burden of IPEDS reporting with process management and reporting, and benchmarking data for creating reports.
