Good morning all,
Since this list has been so quiet, I thought I would put out a query. Do
you do enrollment prediction? What is your methodology?
I have been working regression equation to predict next fall's enrollment.
The process I used was to strip total credit hours by every cohort I could
think of, then to run a Pearson's correlation table against economic factors
such as cost of living, employment, housing permits, industrial permits, etc.
about 122 demograpic and economic factors in all. I then took all the .6
correlations and put them through various types of regression finally
deciding on the backwards method of calculating the regression slope and
intersect. Now I am just waiting for the economic numbers to be released then
I will plug them into my equations and have a prediction for fall enrollment.
If you are doing, or thinking about doing, something easier, faster, or more
accurate, I would appreciate hearing from you.
