Safety
Professionals Luncheon was held at New York University in New York City.
The
purpose of that luncheon was to network with other College - University
Fire
Safety Professionals and discusses fire safety concerns in colleges and
universities in the tri-state area.  Attendees included fire safety
professional from over 20 colleges and universities, fire department
officers, state agencies and national associations. Guest speakers
included
Thomas VonEssen, Commissioner, New York City Fire Department, Chief
Peter
Hayden, First Division, New York City Fire Department and Dana
Christmas.
Dana was the Resident Advisor at the Seton Hall University Boland Hall
dorm
fire. Dana, a senior, suffered burns across 60 percent of her body. She
shared her life changing experience with us.

As a result of that luncheon, I created this website for College and
University Fire Safety Professionals and Fire Departments to have a
place to
network, share concerns, and exchange information.
