Ohio University discourages the use of Halogen lamps. However, they are
allowed if a guard covers the bulb. Candles are strictly prohibited in all
residential facilities.

Subject: Policies
For an upcoming issue of Campus Firewatch I am looking for information on
two campus policies that I'm hoping everyone could help me with.
1) What is your policy on candles in dormitories?
a) Do you ban them outright?
b) Do you ban them, but make allowances for religious purposes?
c) If you do make allowances, are there special requirements that the
student must meet before using them?
2) What is your policy on Halogen lamps in dormitories?
I'll have the results in Campus Firewatch.
Thank you very much!
