Ohio State went smokeless this year. So far, residents have been
cooperative, but cold weather is just starting to set in and we expect to
see some violators.

Penalties are handled on a case-by-case basis, always starting with a chat
with the hall director , with further infractions, the violators could be
evicted.

Subject: Re: Campus Firewatch Update 11.15.00

    Good Afternoon,
I am interested in finding out if other educational institutions have a
no
smoking policy on campus for staff and / or students. I also would also like
to
know how it is enforced. Are there penalties for not following the policy,
and
are faculty receptive to the policy? Statistics for smoking would be
helpful.
Your input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
