Fine Arts Center Fire
Ball State University
Muncie, Indiana

A fire in an occupied fine arts center that was undergoing renovation caused
damage to the third floor.  When the university police arrived on the scene,
students were still studying on the second floor.  The students reported
that the fire alarms had sounded so frequently during construction that they
ignored them.
