Recent Grads,
Waynesville Local Schools is seeking two intervention specialists for fall 2010.
The special education director, Mary Franzosa, describes the district as small, (all schools are on one campus), not fancy, but rated "Excellent" with good family involvement and inclusion of children with special needs.
One job is a K-1 Intervention Specialist - it sounds mild to moderate. The teacher is moving out of state. This current teacher is Orton-Gillingham trained so the school may find it desirable it you would be willing to take that training this summer (this is my thought - not theirs)
The second job is more of a Mod-Int. position. Because this is a small district and Mod-Int needs are low incidence, this teacher may travel across buildings. The current need is mostly in middle to high school for the coming year.
If you are interested in either of these positions in Waynesville, Ohio, please e-mail:
