Speaking from many years experience on both sides of the interview table,
the first thought that runs through the interviewer's mind is "can I work
with this person", while the interviewee should be thinking "can I work
with these people in this atmosphere".  Normally this happens within the
first 5 minutes of any interview.

To add to Jan's list of typical questions:  what do you consider your
best quality?  your worst fault?  And if possible, always have examples to
back up what you are saying.
