10-11: Party Platforms: The Republican and Democratic conventions are
coming up in a few weeks' time, and leaders of both parties are
fine-tuning the messages they'll put forth in their platforms.  A
panel of political observers joins Diane to explain the process of
crafting a platform, and to discuss some of the issues that are
causing the most controversy within the two parties.

11-12: Bob Greene: Newspaper columnist Bob Greene discusses his book
"Duty" (William Morrow). It's about how he's gotten to know Paul
Tibbets, who piloted the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on
Hiroshima in 1945. It's also about how, as he's talked with Paul
Tibbets about his life and his views on the war, he's gained insight
into his own father and how he was shaped by his own wartime
experiences.
