                    (de-LAYN-oh) Lewis has been president and C.E.O.
                    of National Public Radio since 1994.  At the end
                    of this month he'll step down to pursue other
                    interests.  Diane talks with Del Lewis about the
                    state of public broadcasting today, and what the
                    future holds for him and for NPR.

                    11-12: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: As many as four
                    hundred thousand Americans suffer from a
                    mysterious illness known as Chronic Fatigue
                    Syndrome.  A panel of doctors and patients joins
                    Diane to discuss current research on chronic
                    fatigue syndrome, and the reasons why this illness
                    is so often misdiagnosed and misunderstood.

                    Critics worry that could affect a patient's

                    won't end up in the hands of employers and data
                    banks.
