        Cincinnati Enquirer Radio-TV columnist John Kiesewetter will
speak will Darrel about the new fall shows -- what's back, what's
changed, what's likely to be worth paying attention to -- or not.


     The Diane Rehm Show, 10-12 noon (*2 full hours live on WMUB)

10-11: News Roundup: A panel of journalists reviews the week's top
national, international, and political news stories, including the
results of last weekend's presidential election in Yugoslavia, and
the latest developments from the campaign trail.
         Guests: David Brooks, The Weekly Standard; Susan Page, USA

11-12: Diane Ravitch: The future of education has become a major
issue in this year's presidential campaigns.  Diane Ravitch offers a
historical view in her new book "Left Back" (Simon & Schuster) -- a
review and critique of the major educational reforms and reformers of
the past century.



     Fresh Air with Terry Gross, 12:06-1 p.m.

The dilemmas of home health care, in the age of managed care.  We
talk with CAROL LEVIN, Director of the United Hospital Fund's
Families and Health Care Project.  She cares for her husband who was
left paralyzed after a car crash over ten years ago.   Her new book
is called "Always on Call."

Environmental groups say a change is needed to save three endangered
species. Opponents say changing the current flow would put people in
danger.

HOUR TWO:  UNDERGROUND SPACE DEVELOPMENT: live from Kansas City: the
city's geology and its use of underground limestone quarries for
industrial parks, office buildings, and even campus facilities

Democratic candidate for Vice President Joseph Lieberman talks about
his ideas on policy, on church and state, and his personal faith. A
profile of the Connecticut Senator.
