research guidelines from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, scientists
may solicit funding from non-government sources for the study of
marijuana. But many people are upset that there is still no provision that
would allow people to smoke marijuana legally in an attempt to control
pain, nausea, vomiting, and certain other symptoms. A panel talks about
the latest developments in the controversy over medicinal use of marijuana.
