the Todd Mundt Show (9am -10am)
Today we'll explore the link between religion and terrorism.
History professor Matthew Connelly joins Todd in the studio to talk
about the current religious and political climate of Arab nations
following the attacks on the United States last week. He discusses
the signs and characteristics of holy wars, and applies these
theories to the current situation. Connelly is at the School of
Public Policy at the University of Michigan.

The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon)
Hour one: Counterterrorism Proposals: This week, Attorney
General John Ashcroft will ask Congress to consider a number of
changes to the laws affecting intelligence gathering, money
laundering, immigration, and criminal justice. A panel talks about
these proposals, how they might assist the fight against terrorism,
and the concerns they raise about restrictions on civil liberties.
Hour two: Deepak Chopra: Deepak Chopra, well-known as an
expert on alternative medicine and the founder of the Chopra Center
for Well-Being, talks about spiritual healing following last week's
tragic events. His new book is titled "Grow Younger, Live Longer"
(Harmony Books). He and Diane will be joined by Chopra's son, Gotham
Chopra, a reporter for Channel One News, who will talk about his
recent visit to Islamic militancy training grounds on the border of
Pakistan and Afghanistan.
