        Hour One: News Roundup: A panel of journalists joins Diane
for review and analysis of the week's top national, international,
and political news stories. Guests: David Brooks, Weekly Standard;
David Corn, The Nation; Susan Page, USA Today
        Hour two: On The Job Food Careers: In the latest installment
of the On The Job series, Diane talks with a panel of people who've
used their training as chefs in different food-related professions.
Guests: Patrick O'Connell, award-winning chef/owner, The Inn at
Little Washington (Washington, Virginia); Kim O'Donnel,
washingtonpost.com; David MacKay, founder, United States Personal

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (noon - 1pm)
        The postponed Emmy awards take place on Sunday. On the next
Fresh Air we hear from two nominees: actress JANE KACZMAREK, who
plays the harried mother in the FOX tv show "Malcolm in the Middle."
And EDIE FALCO who plays Carmella Soprano on the HBO drama "The
Sopranos."

Talk of the Nation/Science Friday with Ira Flatow (2pm - 4pm)
        Hour one: SURVEILLANCE AND PRIVACY: Last month's terrorist
attack has government officials considering new surveillance
technologies from facial scanners to email sifters.
        Hour two: STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING: Among the recovery workers
at the Pentagon and World Trade Center are teams of engineers. They
want to determine exactly how the attacks affected the buildings and
how future construction might be made safer. What the engineers are
learning.

All Things Considered (4pm - 7pm)
        A visit to Chinatown. In lower Manhattan, near the World
Trade Center, life for many people and businesses has become a
challenge. In Chinatown, the garment industry has been affected.
Thousands are working much shorter hours, or not working at all, and
they're concerned about their livelihoods.
