        The Faith of Islam. Guests: Shabbir Mansuri, Founding
Director of the Council on Islamic Education. www.cie.org. Also,

Greater Cincinnati; and Dr. Newell Booth, retired professor from the
Miami University Department of Comparative Religion.

The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon)
        Hour one: Biological & Chemical Weapons: Part of the
international investigation into terrorist networks focuses on the
development and use of biological and chemical weapons. Diane and her
guests talk about the extent to which such tactics pose a threat to
the US. Guests: Jonathan Tucker, Monterey Institute of International
Studies; Dr. Tara O'Toole, Center for Civilian BioDefense Studies,
Johns Hopkins; Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn.
        Hour two: Journalist Kati Marton discusses modern First
Ladies and the roles they have played in their husband's
Presidencies. In her new book, "Hidden Power" (Pantheon), she
profiles Jackie Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson, Nancy Reagan, Hillary
Clinton, and other women who, whether publicly or privately, have
been key players in American history.

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (noon - 1pm)
        Humanitarian aid in Afghanistan. Hear from lawyer and aid
worker JOHN SIFTON, author of the latest New York Times Sunday
Magazine cover story. Sifton was in Afghanistan earlier this year. He
was in New York City at the time of the attacks and he's leaving soon
for Pakistan.

Public Interest with Kojo Nnamdi (1pm - 2pm)
        ACCLAIMED PHOTOGRAPHER PETER MAGUBANE (MAH-goo-BAH-nee) WAS
THE FIRST TO PUT A FACE ON THE APARTHEID STRUGGLE IN SOUTH AFRICA.
HIS WORK BROUGHT INTERNATIONAL ATTENTION AND HELPED TRANSFORM THE
COUNTRY. MAGUBANE JOINS KOJO TO DISCUSS HIS LIFE, HIS FORTY-FIVE
YEARS BEHIND THE CAMERA, AND THE ROLE PHOTOJOURNALISTS PLAY IN
SHAPING PUBLIC DISCUSSION. Guest: Peter Magubane, photojournalist

Talk of the Nation with Neal Conan (2pm - 4pm)
        Hour one: INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE ON TERRORIST ATTACKS:
reporters from around the world talk about how other nations are
responding to the worst terrorist attack in history.
        Hour two: WHAT IS AL-QAEDA? terrorism experts talk about the
Al-Qaeda group. How does it operate? And who are the key members?
