The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon); guest host Lynn Neary
Diane is receiving another treatment for spasmodic dysphonia. We
expect that she will be away from the show until the week of November
19th.
        Hour one: Unemployment & Economy: As the US unemployment rate
reaches a 5-year high, a panel talks about the state of the economy,
the future of Congressional action on an economic stimulus package,
and more. Guests: Steve Pearlstein, Washington Post; Robert Reich,
former Secretary of Labor; David Keene, American Conservative Union
        Hour two: Reeve Lindbergh, youngest daughter of aviator
Charles Lindbergh and author Anne Morrow Lindbergh, writes of caring
for her mother during the final months of her life in a new memoir,
"No More Words" (Simon & Schuster).

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (noon - 1pm)
        Journalist Jeffrey Toobin (TWO-bin) talks about his new book
--an investigation into the Bush/Gore presidential recount. And we
talk about the new anti-terrorism law, the subject of Toobin's latest
piece in the New Yorker.

Public Interest with Kojo Nnamdi (1pm - 2pm)
        TECH TUESDAY: The Computer Guys. It's the first Tuesday of
the month and that means the computer guys are back to solve your
operating and hardware problems. "PC Guy" John Gilroy and "Mac Guy"
Tom Piwowar (pee-VO-var) fill us in on the latest developments in the
world of computers and answer all your questions. Guests: 1. John

Talk of the Nation with Neal Conan (2pm - 4pm)
        Hour one: REPORTERS TALK ABOUT COVERING THE WAR ON TERRORISM:
What's it like to cover this war? You'll have a chance to find out
first-hand. Neal talks with reporters from Afghanistan and Pakistan
about covering the war on terrorism.
        Hour two: PART 2 ON MIDDLE EAST CONFLICT: ISRAELI SCHOLAR
MARTIN KRAMER: part two of our two-part series on the conflict on the
Middle East. Neal will talk with author and Israeli scholar Martin
Kramer from Tel Aviv University about the Middle East in the
aftermath of the terrorist attacks on America.

        A visit to northwest Pakistan to learn about Afghanistan's
dominant ethnic group: the Pashtuns. {pash-TOONS} Sixteen million
Pashtuns live in Afghanistan and in Pakistan. They have a reputation
for a fierce sense of honor, and for defending it at all costs.

SPECIAL: Election Coverage (8pm - onward)
        News Director Darrel Gray anchors our Election Night
coverage, with live reports from election headquarters in Butler,
Hamilton, Montgomery and other counties. Featuring frequent reports,
on the hour, half-hour and as needed, during the Mama Jazz show.
