The Todd Mundt Show (9am - 10am); no pm repeat due to HawkTawk
        What's being called the "Ames strain" of anthrax is
responsible for the death of a Florida man, and could have originated
from a collection of anthrax strains at Iowa State University. Dr.
Jim Roth, assistant dean for international programs at Iowa State,
talks with Todd about the history of the "Ames strain". Bert van
Zelst, Director of the Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and
Education, talks about the center's closure. He discusses how they
worked to study the deterioration and preservation of museum objects.
Our film reviewer, Tim Dugdale, returns to the studio to talk about
"Behind Enemy Lines", and upcoming holiday films.

The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon)
        Hour one: Afghanistans Future: Afghan factions meeting in
Bonn, Germany have reached agreement on the shape of a transitional
government to replace the Taliban. A panel talks about what will
happen in the coming months, and how power will be shared among rival
groups in the war-torn country.
        Hour two: Robert Korstad: Duke University's "Behind the Veil"
project has collected oral histories and other documentary materials
related to African-American life in the segregation-era South. Duke
professor Robert Korstad talks about the project and its new book and
audio cd set, "Remembering Jim Crow" (The New Press).

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (noon - 1pm)

Two journalists who just returned from Afghanistan.SEBASTIAN JUNGER
was traveling with the Northern Alliance.        CHARLES SENNETT of
the Boston Globe was covering the Special Forces.

Public Interest with Kojo Nnamdi (1pm - 2pm); guest host Mary Tillotson
        Counterintelligence: Robert Hanssen and Aldrich Ames are
proof that spying didn't end with the Cold War. The youngest general
in the history of the KGB, Oleg Kalugin, joins Kojo to discuss modern
counterintelligence and his life as a spy in America. Guest: Oleg
Kalugin, Professor, The Centre for Counterintelligence and Security
Studies

Talk of the Nation with Neal Conan (2pm - 4pm)
        Hour one: ATTORNEY GENERAL JOHN ASHCROFT TESTIFIES/POW'S IN
THE WAR AGAINST TERRORISM: NPR's Legal Affairs Correspondent Nina
Totenberg and others for analysis of Attorney General Ashcroft's
testimony. Plus, how were more than 600 Taliban prisoners killed in
Afghanistan?
        Hour two: MEMORIZATION SKILLS: Neal talks with guests about
memorization. HOW do we memorize? What did YOU have to memorize in
your school days, the Pledge of Allegiance, the Gettysburg Address?

All Things Considered (4pm - 7pm)
        The airport at Fresno, California is using a high-tech device
to spot suspected terrorists that might try to pass through security.
When passengers look into a camera, a computer compares their faces
with information stored in a database. Hear how it works.

tomorrow on WMUB Forum with Darrel Gray
        Career advice with career counselor Ford Roosevelt. Mr.
Roosevelt is FDR's grandson. He'll offer tips for the newly
unemployed and for job seekers in this tight economy. Mr. Roosevelt
is the principal consultant for the Job Source series of career
guides, which are published in major metropolitan area around the
country. He's had experience working with college students and
graduates and currently works with Durlester Consulting, an executive
recruiting firm.

SPECIAL: Chanukah Lights (4pm -5pm Sunday)
        Our seasonal favorite begins its second decade by conjuring
up imagery of rich traditions, past and present, through
