The Diane Rehm Show (10a.m. - Noon)
Hour One: Iraq: Sanctions against Iraq are deteriorating and
there's been no progress in getting Saddam Hussein to allow weapons
inspections. A panel talks about how President Bush will approach the
circumstances he's inherited from former President Clinton and the
former President Bush. Guests: Rend Francke, Iraq Foundation; Francis
Brooke, Iraq Liberation Action Committee; Michael Eisenstadt,
Washington Inst. for Near East Policy; Geoffrey Kemp, Nixon Ctr for
Peace & Freedom.
Hour Two: Peter Edelman: Law professor Peter Edelman first
experienced public service working as an aide to the late Robert F.
Kennedy. In a new book, "Searching for America's Heart" (Houghton
Mifflin), he reflects on how our country has -- and has not -- lived
up to his youthful ideals.

Fresh Air (Noon - 1p.m.)
For Presidents Day, presidential speeches from the 20th
century. Also rules for getting out of tough spots from MARLIN
FITZWATER, press secretary under presidents Reagan and Bush senior.

Public Interest (1p.m. - 2p.m.)
TRYING TO PICK A GOOD WINE, BUT CONFUSED BY LABELS? HINTS OF
BOYSENBERRY. OAK-AGING. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? BACK BY POPULAR
DEMAND, EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT WINE, BUT WERE
AFRAID TO ASK.

Talk of the Nation (2p.m. - 4p.m.). Guest host Lynn Neary
Hour One: President Bush's visit to Mexico: Over the weekend,
George W. Bush's takes his first trip as president outside of the U-S
with a visit to Mexico and a meeting with President Vicente Fox. On
the agenda are discussions about the energy crisis, the drug war,
immigration and trade.
Hour Two: Rating the Presidents: There's a consensus on who
the greatest presidents are: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and
Franklin Roosevelt. But after the top three, the debate becomes
contentious. A recent study lists Ronald Reagan as the eighth
greatest president. John F. Kennedy is 8th on the list, just above
average. .

All Things Considered
A visit to an acclaimed New York City restaurant -- for
dinner with the staff. Before opening for business, the waiters and
waitresses, the dishwashers and the cooks sit down together at
Chanterelle (shahn-teh-REHL). Hear how well they eat, and how you can
recreate those meals at home.
