Hi All!

So I think most of us are getting anxious for spring to finally arrive and
with it the return of birds, flowers, and all sorts of other things that we
associate with the season.

Starting March 1st you have a chance to actually track the return of spring
in Ohio with Audubon Ohio's new Citizen Science initiative 'Discover
Spring!'.

We are encouraging observers from all over the state to help us track the
return of four species commonly associated with the return of spring:
Eastern Redbud trees in flower, the appropriately named Northern Spring
Peeper, Chimney Swifts, and Common Grackles.

We have an on-line reporting form set up where observers can enter their
data and see data points on a map. In doing so we'll be able to track the
return of spring to Ohio.

To participate go to: www.audubonohio.org and click on the "Discover
Spring!" link.

This project was made possible through collaboration between Audubon Ohio's
Audubon At Home program, Miami University's Institute of Environmental
Sciences, and the USDA:Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

So get out there and Discover Spring! today.

Thanks,
