Hi Folks,

There's an interesting article in the upcoming issue of the journal 'The
Auk'.

The article is an overview, review, and assessment of the Ivory-billed
Woodpecker work going on in Arkansas. The author of this piece is Dr.
Jerome Jackson; author of "In Search of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker" (the
2nd edition of which is due out this year).

To download a pdf copy of this article go to:
http://www.aou.org/persp1231.pdf

You can also go to the following web-site and look for the article link in
the column labeled "In the forthcoming issue of The Auk (Vol. 123, No. 1,
January, 2006)".

And.....

If you missed the Ivory-billed Woodpecker segment on the PBS show "Nova:
Science Now" you can view the segment on-line which highligts some of the
content in the Jackson article found in this month's Auk.

Go to: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/sciencenow/3302/03.html

Some interesting stuff to say the least.

Enjoy & Happy Birding!
