Hi All,

 

Today, Suzanne Cardinal (OBCI coordinator) and I headed up to the Cleveland Lakefront again today in search of the Snowy Owl and had much better luck finding the bird.

 

I also found another interesting gull that I think I will make a quiz gull.  Go to the following site to see the gull in question:

We also found several unidentifiable Scoters at the Avon Lake Power Plant.  They were unidentifiable because they were floating brown blobs so far out that heat dispersion was obscuring them.  We could tell they were long-bodied and dark brown, which allowed us to narrow them down to Scoters, but as to what species we weren't sure.

 

Otherwise it was just a nice day to be out before the rain and snow sets returns over the next couple of days.
