Hi birders,
has anyone seen flocks of horned larks, lapland longspurs, and snow
buntings of late? As recently as monday Feb 2 there was a mixed flock of
about 40 birds in the fenced area behind the barn just south of the corner
of 27 and Taylor. I have not seen many since but maybe one of you have
located them.

I did seen a female purple finch today at our feeder; a bird we commonly
saw years ago but no more.

In recent days I've seen Northern harriers and eastern meadowlarks in the
area within a half mile of the corner of stillwell-beckett and law road
(late in the afternoon).
