Greetings!!!
We banded yesterday for the first time this fall. I say fall because
migration has started!!! Despite the hot days [and nights] the sun isn't
hanging around as long and the birds know it. We banded 33 individuals;
recaptured 4. Lots of hatch year birds!!! But it was exciting to see Canada
Warblers, Tenn. Warblers, and Northern Waterthrushes already gracing our
woods!!
Sorry for any inconvenience our abrupt cancelling caused this morning. We
will be banding at HW on Sunday [weather permitting] come on out!!! If you
have any doubts about the weather call my cell phone any time after 4:30 am
Cheers
Dave
