Yale University Policy is that no one under age 18 can smoke anywhere (state
legal age for posession), no smoking in any freshperson dorm, and no smoking in
any public building or area within a building. Smoking is allowed in all other
dorm rooms provided that everyone within the room or suite agrees. If one
suitemate has a problem with it, then no one can smoke in that room.
Furthermore, all of our dorms are sprinkled and all University owned furniture
meets California State FM specs.
