Just wanted to let everyone know what I found out from SR Batteries on
Friday. First of all I received a third set of numbers for the weight of
the cells - different from the web page and from the numbers Scott
received. However, he weighed cells just produced while I was on the phone
so I am assuming these are probably the numbers we can count on. They are
- 2 ounces for the 2000 series, 2.1 ounces for the 2400 series, and 2.96
ounces for the 3000 series. As for the weight of the packaging he said it
could vary from 1.5 to 3 ounces for the setup we are looking at, resulting
in about 38 2000 series cells, 36 2400 series cells, and 26 3000 series
cells. He said he could pinpoint a better weight for the packaging if I
could give him the amount of current we will have going through the packs
since he can vary to a fair degree the amount of packaging needed at
different levels. Unfortunately I don't think I have this number so if
anyone could tell me I could then get pretty concrete cells numbers from
him. (Sorry-I probably should have know this) One I get the level of
current, I may have these final numbers by tomorrow, but if not I will
definitely have them when we meet after break.
