Dormitory Fire
University of Nevada-Las Vegas
Las Vegas, Nevada

A fire in a residence hall on Thanksgiving morning was controlled by the
activation of a sprinkler system.

Off-Campus House Fire
Oregon State University
Corvallis, Oregon

An OSU senior was able to escape an early morning fire that caused
significant damage to her house.  She was the only one of the five occupants
that was home at the time of the fire.
