We at Rowan U have a similar situation. We have 19 buildings housing approximately 2,500 students. I've use Stopper IIs for over 12 years and no longer track pulled box alarms separately from other alarms since the number per year is so low, probably less than 12. Our cooking alarms have gone up dramatically since we redesigned our auto smoke detector systems in one apartment complex because of lack of kitchen exhaust directly to the outside, and microwaves in traditional halls.

Here at Kent State University, we have 30 residence halls and about 6800
students. As of today we hit number 35 false alarms since January 1, 2000.
We have Stoppers on about 95% of the pull stations. We are at a all time
low for malicious alarms but alarms from cooking are on the rise.
