The University of Connecticut Fire Department conducts a fire drill every
semester in dorms.

Fire protection includes addressable fire alarm systems, and automatic
sprinkler systems. We expect to complete retrofitting all residential
buildings by 2003, August.

We are also very fortunate to have a fully staffed University
Fire/EMS/Hazmat department on campus. We are an integral part of the
campus community.
