It is great to see some very good jobs opening up in business
law/legal studies. I notice others on the ALSB webpage, including I
believe, Purdue. If you know good candidates for these positions, I
hope you will draw their attention to these positions, so that our
discipline will continue to attract excellent minds and great teachers.

      The Stefan A. Riesenfeld Symposium titled "Fifty Years in
      the Making: World War II Reparation and Restitution Claims" will
      be held at Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Berkeley on March 8 and
      9, 2001. The Symposium, organized by the Berkeley Journal of
      International Law, will gather some of the most prominent
      diplomats, scholars, and legal practitioners in this field to
      discuss legal and political issues surrounding these claims.
      This Symposium will be the most comprehensive academic effort on
      this topic ever to be organized by an American Law School, as a
      comparative analysis of the European and Asian related claims
      will be carried out by more than twenty distinguished speakers.
      The Luncheon Address will be presented by H.E. Peter Moser, the
      Ambassador of Austria to the United States.

      The 2001 Business & Economics Society International

      is seeking an assistant professor to begin work in
      September.


      JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

      We are looking for a candidate who will conduct research at a
      high level of excellence and be a committed teacher of
      business-related law and public policy courses to graduate and
      undergraduate business students on the Newark and New Brunswick
      campuses of Rutgers.

      Prospective candidates doing research in international
      business law, law and economics, critical legal theory, or
      business ethics are particularly encouraged to apply for
      the position.   A J.D. or comparable international degree
      is expected; a Ph.D. or comparable degree is welcome but
      not required.


      ABOUT RUTGERS:
