Every year I get many requests for the AACSB salary data that I currently post on the webpage under the "AACSB Liaison" link (which is under the "Services" link on the newly-designed webpage...still being newly designed and should be up in a couple of days).
However, I digress........a number of you find the AACSB data to be of little help.....I wonder if we should undertake to conduct our own annual salary survey....(I could do this each year)As I get ready to send out the 2001-2002 dues notices in May, I could include an optional form which would ask for demographic info (e.g. rank, years in rank, years at school, classification of school, etc and, of course, salary). This would be, naturally, confidential for each individual.
My question for discussion is whether this kind of information, gleaned only from our members, would be of benefit for us. Comments?
