Ask the General Manager and Program Director. Cleve Callison
and John Hingsbergen will be Darrel's guests to talk about recent
program changes, what's in store on the air and on the web, and
what's going on with our fundraising campaign, starting March 29th.

The Diane Rehm Show (10am - Noon)
Hour One: Weekly News Roundup: In the first of a series of
live broadcasts from The Newseum in Arlington VA, Diane and a panel
of journalists review the week's top national and international news
stories. Guests: David Brooks, The Weekly Standard; Tom Gjelten, NPR;
Susan Page, USA Today
Hour Two: Readers' Review: The March panel joins Diane at the
Newseum in Arlington, VA to discuss Ernest Hemingway's "A Farewell to
Arms," a novel that was inspired by the author's own experiences
during World War I. Guests: Jackson Breyer, University of Md.; Kermit
Moyer, American U.; Lisa Page, freelance writer

Fresh Air with Terry Gross (Noon - 1pm)
STEVEN TYLER and JOE PERRY of the ageless rock group,
Aerosmith. The group has been making records since the mid 70's. Also
hear from another ageless wonder, PAUL SIMON. Next week they'll all
be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

Public Interest with Kojo Nnamdi (1pm - 2pm)
Cajun band Beausoleil: FOR MORE THAN TWENTY-FIVE YEARS,
BEAUSOLEIL (BO-sue-lay) HAS BEEN PROVING THAT CAJUN MUSIC IS AS SPICY
AS CAJUN FOOD. THE BAND JOINS KOJO FOR A FOOT-STOMPING LIVE
PERFORMANCE AND A LOOK AT THE COMPLEX ROOTS OF LOUISIANA SWAMP MUSIC.

Talk of the Nation/Science Friday with Ira Flatow (2pm - 4pm)
Hour One: A MIR RETROSPECTIVE: The Mir Space station has been
a symbol of many things: Russian determination a stepping stone to
bigger and better colonies in space and the butt of a thousand jokes.
Next week, Mir's long and checkered life is scheduled to come to an
end. The space station is supposed to break apart during a fiery
re-entry over the South Pacific. A retrospective of the little space
station that could.
Hour Two: PROTEOMICS: You've probably heard about the human
genome, but what about the human proteome? That's the entire set of
human proteins that our genes produce. Proteins control nearly every
function of our bodies, and they play a role in most diseases.

All Things Considered (4pm - 7pm)
Big news organizations have invested millions in Internet web
sites. Now the sites are laying off employees and cutting back
because - so far - Internet publishing doesn't pay. Join Linda
Wertheimer as she visits the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal
and ABC News - to find out how they're doing with news on the web.
